PROOF

Privacy

Your data, plainly.

Last updated · June 28, 2026

This policy covers the PROOF companion app and this website (thisproof.com). We built PROOF to help you grow — not to harvest you. We don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't track you across other apps or sites.

What we collect

Account. Your email, name, and a securely hashed password when you sign up.

What you bring. The reflections, “drops,” prayers, and notes you write in the app, and your day-to-day progress (the days you showed up, verses you carry).

Health & activity. With your permission, the app reads activity, heart rate, and sleep from Apple Health to tailor each day to how you're actually doing, and writes completed sessions back to Health. This data stays on your device except for a few derived signals (e.g. a recovery band, sleep hours, session volume) that we store to show your progress over time. We never use Health data for advertising and never sell it.

Location, calendar, motion. With your permission, the app uses your location to check the weather and notice travel, reads your calendar to find an open block to move, and uses motion to notice when you're already walking. This is used on your device to shape the day; your location is sent only to Apple's Weather and Maps services for those lookups.

Photos.Your daily proof photo and any moments you capture stay entirely on your device — they are never uploaded to our servers or anyone else's, and deleting the app deletes them.

Notifications. A device token so the companion can send the gentle nudges you choose.

How we use it

Only to run the companion: to tailor your day, write the companion's words to you, remember what you've shared so it feels like a relationship and not an app, and show your proof over time. That's it.

Who helps us run it

We use a small set of trusted service providers, and share only what each needs:

Amazon Web Services hosts our servers and database. Anthropic (via Amazon Bedrock) powers the companion's voice — distilled context and what you share is sent to compose its replies. Crossway provides ESV Scripture text. Amazon Polly reads the day aloud. Fourthwall runs the Markers shop and its checkout if you choose to buy something. None of these are permitted to use your data for their own advertising.

Your control

You can delete your account and all of your data at any time, right inside the app: tap the proofwordmark on the home wall to open Settings, then tap “Delete account.” That permanently erases your account and everything tied to it. You can also revoke any permission (Health, location, calendar, notifications) in iOS Settings at any time.

Security & retention

Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and we keep your data only while your account exists. Delete your account and it's gone.

Children

PROOF isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes & contact

We'll update this page if anything changes and revise the date above. Questions, or want your data handled differently? Email by@proleaguenetwork.com.
